State suicides in Italy

Prime Minister Mario Monti is gaining an increasing success in foreign politics. 'The Time' sees him as a possible saviour of Europe. We are all very thankful to President Monti if Italy is improving its international role. What is not so well-known abroad is a financial problem which hopefully President Monti will take seriously and urgently into consideration as it is a matter of life or death.
I am talking about the amazing number of suicides committed by Italian entrepreneurs who can no longer face financial difficulties due to the fact that the Italian State does not pay them for the goods and services it owes them. Many factories and shops close down because of state debts.
It is not just a matter of life or death of individuals: Italian economy is at risk.
